Integrated Circuit Sourcing for PCB Assembly

OrinewPCB · Components + turnkey PCB assembly
Source integrated circuits for your PCB project with OrinewPCB. Send the complete manufacturer part number, package, quantity and schedule so the quotation matches the device your engineering team actually approved.
100% new, original, genuine components. Exact parts, approved alternatives and a quotation based on your requirements.

What to know before purchasing: An integrated circuit combines electronic functions in a semiconductor device. For procurement, the complete orderable part number matters: a product family, top marking or similar-looking package does not by itself establish that two parts are interchangeable.
Integrated Circuits for PCB and Product Projects
Processing, memory and logic
Specify the MCU, processor, memory or logic device exactly. Record any required temperature grade, memory configuration, firmware or programming requirements rather than relying on the family name.
Analog and interface ICs
For amplifiers, converters and interface devices, preserve the approved electrical performance, supply range, pinout and package. Check the circuit and layout before accepting a proposed replacement.
Power-management ICs
Regulators, drivers and protection ICs need the correct package, thermal arrangement and supporting components. A similar function does not make a replacement compatible with the existing PCB.
100% New, Original, Genuine Components
OrinewPCB’s supply commitment covers the electronic components we sell and the components we supply for our turnkey PCB assembly builds. We do not supply used, refurbished or remarked components.
We work with component manufacturers and distribution partners to offer competitive purchasing and lead-time options. Our reputation is built around supplying the approved parts and communicating the actual purchasing conditions clearly.
Tell us your required date/lot conditions, packing, labeling or supporting documentation before ordering so the available evidence and requirements can be confirmed for the quotation. We do not replace a released BOM part with an unapproved alternative.
Integrated Circuits Specification and Purchasing Checklist
Use the approved manufacturer data and your released design to define the requirement. The following inputs help us prepare a useful quotation and identify questions that need engineering approval.
On a phone, swipe this table sideways to see every column.
| Input | What to specify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer part number | Full orderable code, including suffixes. | Package, grade and packing options may differ within one family. |
| Package and footprint | Package code, pin count and approved PCB footprint. | Package names alone may not resolve every mechanical difference. |
| Electrical requirements | Supply, operating conditions and critical performance limits. | A similar function is not sufficient evidence of equivalence. |
| Grade and lifecycle | Temperature grade and any project-specific qualification or lifecycle restriction. | Commercial, industrial and other variants may have different limits. |
| Packing and handling | Reel/tray/tube requirements and moisture-sensitive handling needs. | Receiving, storage and machine loading need the correct format. |
| Programming | Firmware version, programming stage and verification procedure. | A supplied device and a programmed, validated device are different scopes. |
Do Not Approve an IC Substitute from a Short Description
Compare the complete datasheets, pin mapping, package drawing and application requirements. For a programmed device, include firmware and tool compatibility. Package top markings can be abbreviated, so use the manufacturer’s identification information to resolve a marking rather than treating the marking as the purchase specification.
Prepare a Integrated Circuits Quotation
Send the approved requirement
Provide full manufacturer part numbers or the BOM revision, quantity basis, packing and destination. Identify open specifications and any fixed constraints.
Review the sourcing options
Confirm quoted identity, quantity, price, availability and lead time. Review proposed alternatives separately and approve changes before the order or build is released.
Connect purchasing to the build
For turnkey PCBA, align the BOM with fabrication files, placement data and the assembly drawing. Define programming and testing needs explicitly.
Example Inquiry Wording
Please quote the exact IC manufacturer part numbers listed in BOM revision C. Package and grade changes require approval. State available packing, quantities and lead-time options. For the assembled boards, programming and verification are defined in the attached procedure.
Illustrative inquiry, not a customer case or a standard delivery promise.

Integrated Circuits Sourcing FAQs
Can I send a chip photograph instead of a part number?
A clear photograph and readable top marking can help an initial discussion, but the full manufacturer part number and approved package are needed to establish the purchasing requirement. Include the schematic or existing BOM information when identification is incomplete.
Can a pin-compatible IC be substituted automatically?
No. Pin compatibility does not establish electrical, thermal, firmware or lifecycle compatibility. Have your engineering team approve the exact alternative before it is added to the build.
Can IC sourcing include programming and assembly?
Yes, request the complete turnkey PCBA scope. Supply the BOM and design files, plus firmware, programming access and an agreed verification procedure where needed. The scope is confirmed for the project.
Are the components supplied by OrinewPCB new and genuine?
Our supply commitment is 100% new, original, genuine electronic components. It also applies to components we supply for our turnkey PCB assembly builds. We do not supply used, refurbished or remarked parts.
How are pricing and lead times confirmed?
Send the exact part number, quantity, packaging, destination and requested date. Our manufacturer and distributor relationships support competitive sourcing options; actual price, availability and lead time are confirmed for the quoted items and quantities.
What should I send for a components or turnkey PCBA quote?
For components, send exact manufacturer part numbers or a BOM with quantities and requirements. For turnkey assembly, add PCB fabrication files, placement data and the assembly drawing. Include any programming and testing scope before production is released.
