High Tg PCB Assembly Services

Request a turnkey PCBA quote with the laminate requirements your design specifies. Review board fabrication, BOM sourcing, assembly and testing together, with the material grade and thermal requirements clearly identified.

Include your specified material, stack-up, quantity and required operating conditions.

WHAT THE MATERIAL REQUIREMENT MEANS

Specify the laminate grade, not just “high Tg”.

Tg is the glass transition temperature of the laminate resin system. It is one input to material selection. A finished board’s thermal suitability also depends on its construction, components, assembly process and operating conditions.

Provide the material manufacturer and grade, or an engineering requirement for review. Include the test method when specifying Tg. Identify whether an alternative grade may be proposed and who must approve it.

Fabrication requirements

Send the stack-up, board dimensions, thickness, copper requirements, finish and fabrication notes. Flag any material or impedance requirement that must not change.

Assembly requirements

Include the BOM, placement data, assembly drawings and sensitive components. Discuss the build sequence and material handling requirements for the actual design.

Full turnkey scope

Combine PCB fabrication, agreed component procurement and assembly. Define inspection, programming, functional testing and delivery separately in the quote.

THERMAL AND MATERIAL REVIEW

Give the engineering team the conditions that matter.

Describe the operating environment, expected heating sources and any relevant temperature cycling or qualification requirements. Include the cooling arrangement where available. Material selection and the thermal design need a review together.

Information for material selection and assembly review
Review item What to provide
Laminate specification Manufacturer, grade, construction and permitted alternatives; the stated method for any Tg requirement
Other material properties Required thermal expansion, decomposition or delamination-test properties, with their datasheet conditions
Electrical design Stack-up, copper distribution, impedance requirements and relevant power or signal constraints
Operating conditions Environment, expected heating, duty cycle, cooling and any specified qualification conditions
Assembly and validation Component requirements, handling restrictions, programming, inspection and functional test scope

Tg, Td, T260/T288 and CTE are separate material properties. They are not interchangeable measures. Do not use Tg alone as a continuous operating-temperature limit.

START YOUR ONE-STOP PCBA REQUEST

Request a high Tg PCB assembly quote.

State whether you need a full turnkey build or will supply boards or components. The quote should identify the material requirements and any remaining engineering questions.

  • Specified laminate grade and stack-up
  • Gerber files, BOM, placement data and drawings
  • Prototype quantity and expected next batch
  • Target date, destination and approved alternatives
  • Inspection, programming and test requirements

Suggested message: “Full turnkey PCBA; material [grade or requirement]; board/BOM revision [revision]; [quantity]; [target date and destination]; [operating and testing requirements].”

Start with the information available. Files can follow by email; price and schedule are confirmed after the project scope is reviewed.

Tell us about your build.

Email is required. Service, quantity, requirements and files are optional for an initial discussion.

AGREE THE COMPLETE BUILD

Confirm cost, material responsibility and test coverage.

The reviewed construction, material and component availability, quantity, preparation and agreed checks affect the quote. Compare the PCB, BOM, assembly, setup and test costs on the same scope.

Identify the acceptance criteria and documentation your application needs. Inspection and functional testing address different requirements. Confirm which checks are included, along with any fixture or qualification work.

HIGH TG PCBA QUESTIONS

Before sending your material and assembly files.

Does high Tg make a PCB a better heat sink?

Tg describes a resin-system transition. Heat removal depends on the complete thermal design and relevant material properties. Include the heating and cooling conditions for review rather than assuming a Tg value describes heat dissipation.

Is Tg the maximum operating temperature of the PCBA?

No. A finished assembly’s operating limits depend on its materials, components, construction and application requirements. Review the relevant specifications and validation needs for the complete product.

Can I specify a particular laminate?

Provide the manufacturer and grade, stack-up and any purchasing or documentation requirements. State whether alternatives may be proposed. Availability and suitability are reviewed before the material is confirmed in the quote.

Can you quote full turnkey high Tg assembly?

Yes. Include the board fabrication requirements, BOM and assembly data. Define any supplied materials, programming and test scope for the reviewed quote.

What if the material is not selected yet?

Share the electrical, mechanical and operating requirements with your files. Identify which design decisions are still open so the required material review can be discussed before a final manufacturing quote.
