ORINEWPCB · ONE-STOP PCBA

Automated PCB Assembly Services

Bring PCB fabrication, component sourcing and assembly into one project quote. Share your BOM, board files and placement data so OrinewPCB can review a suitable production route, material responsibilities and test requirements for your build.

Include your first quantity, any repeat batches and target delivery date.

WHAT AUTOMATION COVERS

Plan the assembly process around your design.

Automated PCB assembly uses machine-assisted production steps to populate and process a circuit board. SMT assembly commonly involves solder paste application, component placement and reflow. Through-hole parts and special handling may need additional processes. The complete route depends on the actual board, packages and build requirements.

SMT assembly

Provide the component side, placement coordinates, rotation and board revision. Highlight fine-pitch, bottom-terminated or otherwise sensitive packages for process review.

Review SMT assembly requirements

Mixed technology

Identify connectors, leaded components and mechanical parts that need additional assembly steps. Clarify orientation, clearances and any special soldering instructions.

Compare manual assembly tasks

Full turnkey support

Request board fabrication, agreed BOM sourcing and assembly together. Identify supplied materials and define the inspection, programming and test scope.

Review turnkey responsibilities

PRODUCTION READINESS

A repeatable build starts with a controlled release package.

One approved revision

Match the fabrication files, BOM and placement data. Mark do-not-fit positions and product variants so purchasing and production work from the same release.

Materials ready to build

Specify manufacturer part numbers, sourcing restrictions and approved alternatives. For supplied parts, include quantity, packaging and expected arrival dates.

Defined acceptance

State the inspection requirements and any programming or functional tests. Provide the test procedure, fixture needs and pass/fail criteria for quotation.

Machine assistance does not by itself define test coverage, production yield or lead time. Agree the process, checks and deliverables for your actual project.

START YOUR ONE-STOP PCBA REQUEST

Get a quote for your complete assembly build.

Tell us whether you need full turnkey support or will supply boards or parts. You can start a discussion before every file is ready.

  • Prototype, production and planned repeat quantities
  • PCB fabrication files, BOM and placement data
  • Component sourcing or customer-supplied materials
  • Inspection, firmware and functional test requirements
  • Target date, destination and packaging needs

A useful opening message: “Full turnkey PCBA; [quantity]; [board/BOM revision]; SMT plus [other assembly tasks]; [test scope]; required by [date] in [destination].”

The final price and schedule follow review of the files, material availability and agreed scope.

COMPARE THE COMPLETE QUOTE

Review setup, materials and testing together.

Production preparation, board complexity, BOM availability, quantity and test scope affect the quotation. Ask which setup or fixture charges are separate from repeat build costs. A smaller batch can still use automated steps; quantity alone does not determine the best assembly method.

If a target date is critical, specify whether it means production completion, dispatch or arrival. File approval, purchasing and any test preparation need to be included in the schedule.

AUTOMATED PCBA QUESTIONS

Before you request assembly.

Is automated PCB assembly the same as automated PCB design?

No. Assembly populates and processes a manufactured circuit board. Design creates the circuit and layout. Provide released fabrication and assembly files for the production review.

Can automated and manual steps be used in the same build?

Yes. A mixed build may combine machine-assisted SMT assembly with separate connector, through-hole or special handling tasks. Identify these parts in the BOM and drawings so the complete route can be reviewed.

Can I request component sourcing as well as assembly?

Yes. Request full turnkey PCBA and specify PCB fabrication, BOM sourcing and assembly together. Identify any supplied parts and agree alternatives before purchasing.

Is automation always cheaper for every quantity?

No single method is cheapest for every design. Setup, component mix, material preparation, quantity and tests affect total cost. Compare quotations for the same complete scope.

Does automated assembly include functional testing?

Functional testing must be specified and quoted. Provide the procedure, firmware, fixture requirements and acceptance criteria. Inspection and a functional test answer different questions about a board.

What if my placement file is not ready?

Send the available PCB files, BOM, quantity and requirements for an initial discussion. Identify missing data; production preparation and the final quote depend on a consistent release package.
