ORINEWPCB · SERVING CUSTOMERS SINCE 2012

Production resources for your high-mix PCBA project.

Bring PCB fabrication, component sourcing and assembly into one build plan. OrinewPCB focuses on small-to-medium batches and multiple product variants, with the manufacturing resources below available for project review.

7 SMT lines, including a prototype line

Seven SMT placement lines in total, with one dedicated to samples. Our placement equipment includes high-end Yamaha machines. Share the package mix and quantity for each board variant so we can review the assembly plan.

Automatic and conventional through-hole assembly

Two automatic insertion lines and two conventional through-hole lines support the insertion part of a mixed-technology build. Include connector details, assembly drawings and any mechanical restrictions in your request.

3 finished-product assembly lines

Three final assembly lines support projects that extend beyond the populated PCB. Discuss enclosures, customer-supplied parts, wiring, labeling and final verification requirements before the scope is agreed.

Material integrity and inspection are part of the build plan.

We supply only 100% new, original, genuine components, including the parts we source for turnkey PCB assembly. Our established relationships with original manufacturers and distributors support competitive BOM sourcing; your quotation confirms current pricing, availability and delivery.

Our inspection resources include 3D inline AOI and X-ray equipment. Conformal-coating and dispensing equipment is also available for projects that need those processes. Confirm the applicable coverage, coating or dispensing instructions and acceptance criteria with your quote. Every bare PCB we manufacture receives flying-probe electrical testing; the nine PCBA quality stages and project-specific test scope are detailed below.

Line counts describe our production resources, not a fixed output rate or guaranteed lead time. We review your PCB files, BOM availability, variants and test requirements before confirming the schedule.

PCB ELECTRICAL TEST · PCBA QUALITY

Nine PCBA quality stages, with a defined test scope.

Every bare PCB we manufacture receives flying-probe electrical testing. Our PCBA workflow has the nine quality stages below. These are inspection and release stages, not nine interchangeable functional tests. Define the coverage and acceptance criteria for your specific build in the quotation.

1. IQC — Incoming materials

Check incoming PCBs and components against the approved project specifications before assembly.

2. SPI — Solder paste

Inspect paste deposits after printing and address printing issues before placement.

3. Online AOI

Review placement and optically accessible assembly features on the line.

4. SMI — First article

Check the first assembled board against the approved build documents and first-article requirements.

5. IPQC — In-process checks

Review work in progress and process conditions against the agreed manufacturing plan.

6. Offline AOI

Review accessible placement and solder-joint features after soldering.

7. X-ray inspection

Review hidden solder joints according to the agreed package coverage and acceptance criteria.

8. QC — Manual inspection

Check visible workmanship, orientation and assembly details against the agreed criteria.

9. QA — Pre-shipment review

Review released-board identification, quantity and protective packaging before shipment.

Define the release evidence for your board.

On a small screen, scroll this table sideways. You can also focus it and use the arrow keys.

Check or stage Purpose Scope or evidence to agree
Bare-PCB flying-probe electrical testing Check the unpopulated board electrically against the approved test data. Per-board electrical testing; confirm the specified test requirements and records. This does not demonstrate complete assembled-product function.
Solder paste and optical inspection Review paste deposits, placement and optically accessible assembly features. The product-specific inspection program and acceptance criteria; optical access has limits.
First article and in-process checks Review the build against approved documents and resolve production questions. Approval hold points, revision identity and requested inspection records.
X-ray inspection Review hidden solder joints where applicable. Packages, coverage and acceptance criteria for the project; not a substitute for a defined functional test.
Programming and functional testing Load approved firmware and verify specified product behavior when agreed. Firmware identity, procedure, fixtures, pass/fail limits and the included test records.
Pre-shipment release Review identification, quantity, protective packaging and agreed release status. Any required inspection summary or release documentation in the quotation.

Tell us your application, critical characteristics and required records at the quotation stage. If you need a specific certification or approval, ask us to confirm the applicable site, scope and current documentation.

TEST SCOPE IS PROJECT SPECIFIC

Agree on what a passing board means.

Inspection and functional testing have different roles. Optical and X-ray inspection examine assembly features; functional testing checks the board against your defined operating requirements.

Define the Test

Provide the test procedure, operating conditions and pass/fail criteria. Identify firmware, programming and electrical safety requirements.

Plan the Resources

Discuss fixtures, test access, equipment and setup work before production. Include these items in the project scope and schedule.

Specify the Records

Tell us which inspection results, test records, traceability information or shipment documents you need. Confirm availability during the quote review.

SUPPLIER REVIEW

Discuss documentation before placing an order.

If your purchasing process requires certification documents, a factory review or a specific workmanship standard, include those requirements in your inquiry. Ask the team to provide the applicable current documents and confirm their scope for the production facility and service involved. Include any traceability, first-article or test-report requirements in the quote request.

Read customer project experience and bring your own supplier-review requirements. For an on-site or remote factory visit, contact us to discuss the location, schedule and areas relevant to your project.

PROJECT QUESTIONS

Before you send your files.

Is every board inspected with every test method?

Inspection and test coverage should match the board design and agreed project scope. Tell us which checks and records you require so the team can confirm an appropriate plan.

Can I request functional testing and programming?

Yes. Share firmware, test instructions, pass/fail criteria and fixture requirements. The team will review preparation work, feasibility and costs with your quote.

Can I review current certifications before an order?

Include the documents and standards required by your purchasing process. Ask for the current certificate, applicable facility and service scope before making a sourcing decision.

How do I arrange a factory visit?

Contact [email protected] with your company, project and preferred dates. The team can discuss the visit location and arrangements.
