LED PCB Manufacturing & Turnkey Assembly

Turn your approved LED board design into bare PCBs or finished assemblies. OrinewPCB combines PCB manufacturing, new original LEDs and driver-component sourcing, and turnkey assembly for small-to-medium batches and multiple lighting variants.

Choose an LED PCB construction for the whole thermal path

An LED board must fit the electrical, mechanical and thermal requirements of the product. Heat has to travel through the package, board and mounting interface to the cooling arrangement. A metal base alone does not establish junction temperature or finished-luminaire reliability.

Inputs for a comparable quotation
Construction When to review it What to define for the quote
FR-4 LED board Rigid boards where routing, driver integration and the thermal design support the intended operation. Stack-up, copper, thermal vias if used, board finish and mounting details.
Aluminum or other metal-core board A design requiring a heat-spreading base and a defined insulated thermal path. Metal base, dielectric construction, isolation needs, board thickness and mechanical interface.
Flexible LED circuit A strip or shaped installation requiring a bendable circuit. Static/dynamic bend requirements, bend location, stiffeners, connection and installation constraints.
Multilayer or mixed-function lighting board LED control, sensing, communications or driver circuitry sharing the assembly. Layer construction, electrical isolation, current paths and test access.
Assembled LED module A project requiring sourcing, soldering and agreed electrical or optical checks. Exact LED MPN/bin rules, drivers, polarity, lens/keep-out areas and acceptance conditions.

Control LED bins, polarity and the mounting interface

A complete LED ordering code may include options that matter to color, output or electrical behavior. Specify the exact approved MPN and any bin or grouping rules. Also identify polarity, orientation, connector position and surfaces that must stay clear for optics, insulation or thermal contact.

  1. Release the board outline, holes, mounting surface and enclosure interface.
  2. Provide the exact LED and driver MPNs; define acceptable bins and alternatives.
  3. Check land patterns and assembly instructions against the component manufacturer requirements.
  4. Specify the heat-sink/interface arrangement used for any agreed thermal evaluation.
  5. Define current, voltage, color/output checks and measurement conditions where they are required.

A useful LED test plan states how the board is operated

An LED lighting check can confirm visible operation, but a controlled acceptance plan may also need electrical, thermal or optical measurements. Specify drive conditions, measurement method, fixtures and pass/fail limits. A board test performed without the intended cooling arrangement may not represent the installed product.

For high-mix production, separate LED color or bin options, driver values, connector variants and labels by build identifier. Confirm substitutions before procurement; a similar package does not establish an equivalent LED or driver.

Quality from the bare PCB to the finished assembly

Every bare PCB we manufacture receives flying-probe electrical testing, not just a sample. Include the netlist where available and identify the required electrical-test records in your RFQ. Bare-board electrical testing checks manufactured networks; it is distinct from assembly inspection and finished-circuit functional validation.

OrinewPCB supplies and uses 100% brand-new, original, genuine electronic components in customer turnkey assemblies. Our manufacturer and distributor cooperation helps us seek competitive BOM prices and practical delivery options. Confirm full MPNs, source restrictions, documentation and current availability for your project. Proposed alternatives require your approval.

Nine PCBA quality stages

Our assembly quality workflow covers nine stages, with the applicable inspection scope agreed for the build:

  1. IQC: incoming material checks.
  2. SPI: solder paste inspection.
  3. Online AOI: in-line optical inspection.
  4. SMI: first-article inspection.
  5. IPQC: in-process quality checks.
  6. Offline AOI: post-solder optical inspection.
  7. X-ray: hidden-joint inspection to the agreed scope.
  8. Manual QC: workmanship review.
  9. Pre-shipment QA: identification, quantity and packaging checks.

These are nine quality stages, not nine functional tests on every assembly. Programming, ICT, functional testing and application-specific validation need agreed procedures, access or fixtures and pass/fail criteria. See our factory and quality workflow.

One sourcing and assembly review for your product mix

Small-to-medium batches and high-mix turnkey PCB assembly are core OrinewPCB strengths. Bring the board, BOM and assembly instructions into the same release review so purchasing and production refer to the same product configuration.

PCB fabrication

Manufacture from the approved construction and files, with each bare board flying-probe tested.

Component sourcing

Request full-BOM purchasing or specific parts, with new original genuine components and agreed alternatives.

Turnkey PCBA

Coordinate boards, BOM sourcing, assembly and the agreed inspection, programming or test scope.

Our sourcing relationships support competitive complete-build pricing. Compare quotations on the same BOM, material, quantities, documentation and test scope; a low individual line item does not define the total project cost.

Plan the earliest practical delivery from a complete release

We prioritize quality and work toward the earliest practical delivery for your agreed build. Send the quantity for each model, critical parts, repeat-order expectations and target date. State whether the date means completion, dispatch or arrival. Component availability, engineering questions, fixtures and agreed tests affect the confirmed schedule.

If the deadline is tight, identify the minimum first batch and any acceptable staged deliveries. See our quick-turn project planning guidance. A schedule is confirmed after the files and sourcing requirements are reviewed.

Request your LED PCB Manufacturing review

Tell us whether you need bare PCBs, component sourcing or a complete turnkey PCBA. Files are optional for an initial discussion; describe the application and we can clarify the information needed for a useful quotation.

  • PCB files, fabrication drawing and current design revision
  • BOM with full MPNs, placement data and assembly drawing
  • Quantity for each model or variant and target delivery date
  • LED/driver MPNs, permitted bins and optical or polarity instructions
  • Cooling interface, installation conditions and agreed measurement limits

LED PCB Manufacturing & Turnkey Assembly FAQ

Is an aluminum LED PCB always the right choice?

No. Review power dissipation, electrical isolation, routing, mounting and the complete cooling path. FR-4, metal-core and flexible constructions meet different project needs; the approved design determines the selection.

Can you source LEDs and assemble the complete board?

Yes. Send the full BOM, exact LED ordering codes and bin rules, board files, placement data and acceptance instructions. We can review bare boards, sourcing and turnkey assembly together.

Does flying-probe testing confirm light output or color?

No. Bare-board electrical testing checks the manufactured networks. Assembled LED current, color, output and thermal behavior require their own agreed measurement conditions and acceptance criteria.

Can I order different LED board variants in one build?

Yes. Identify the quantity, LED options, driver values, connectors and labels for each variant. Provide controlled population instructions rather than describing the differences only in email.
